In this increasingly connected world, journalism is the bridge that gives the layperson unprecedented access to information regarding global affairs. The International Press Gallery is no different, and will bring an additional dimension to SDYC by reporting on debate in our other councils. Today's media, however, is much more than just a silent observer, and good journalists skillfully coax their readers into viewing an issue through the filter of their own perspective. The media can be governments' greatest critique, or greatest enabler - and IPG delegates, through creative media channels, will be able to push and pull the tide of debate from behind the scenes.
